HarvestCue is provided by Favilla Works LLC (“Favilla Works,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information HarvestCue collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create or use a HarvestCue account, we may collect:
- Your email address;
- Your account identifier;
- Your name, if provided through Sign in with Apple or entered in your public profile;
- An optional profile name and biography; and
- Information needed to authenticate your account and keep it secure.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide HarvestCue with your name, email address, or an Apple private relay email address, depending on the choices you make with Apple. HarvestCue does not receive your Apple Account password.
Garden and plant information
HarvestCue stores the information you choose to enter, such as:
- Garden names, types, layouts, and settings;
- Plant names, locations, notes, status, and maintenance history;
- Plant names, label text, and printed plant-label codes recognized in Quick Setup (photos are not saved);
- Reminders and notification preferences; and
- Archived or recovery copies used to help protect your data during synchronization and conflict resolution.
This content is private by default. HarvestCue does not publish your gardens or plant information to other users.
When you confirm a plant name in Quick Setup, HarvestCue saves the name and printed plant-label code as a separate, account-linked submission to help build a plant-label dictionary. Unresolved labels remain with your garden and are not submitted. After review, a dictionary entry contains only the label code and a standard plant name, without your account, garden, or original label text. Deleting your account removes your garden records and account-linked submissions; already-reviewed dictionary entries may remain because they are no longer associated with your account.
Device and synchronization information
To synchronize your account and resolve differences between devices, HarvestCue may process an app installation identifier; stable identifiers for gardens, plants, profiles, and related records; revision numbers, timestamps, content hashes, and synchronization status; and device integrity information provided through Firebase App Check.
These identifiers support app operation, security, synchronization, recovery, and prevention of duplicate or conflicting records. They are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Diagnostic information you choose to submit
HarvestCue may allow you to create and submit a technical diagnostic report when you need support. Submitting a report is optional. A report may contain technical identifiers, synchronization status, error details, record counts, timestamps, and content hashes. Diagnostic reports are designed not to include garden names, plant names, passwords, or payment card information.
Submitted diagnostic reports are retained for up to 30 days unless a longer period is needed to investigate a support request, protect the service, or comply with law.
Purchase and subscription information
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple. Apple processes your payment information. HarvestCue receives subscription status and transaction information needed to provide access, restore purchases, and manage subscription features, but we do not receive your full payment card number.
Information stored on your device
HarvestCue stores app data and preferences on your device, including appearance choices, onboarding status, display preferences, notification schedules, and locally saved garden and plant information. Depending on your settings and account status, some information may also be synchronized with HarvestCue’s cloud services.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage your account;
- Save, display, synchronize, archive, restore, and delete your garden and plant information;
- Provide reminders and other features you request;
- Verify subscriptions and control access to subscription features;
- Detect and resolve synchronization conflicts;
- Respond to support requests and diagnose technical problems;
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and data loss;
- Maintain and improve HarvestCue; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not use HarvestCue information for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Data retention
We retain account and app information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide HarvestCue. Archived and recovery records may be retained to support user-requested restoration, synchronization, and protection against accidental loss.
When you complete the in-app Delete Account and All Data process, HarvestCue deletes your authentication account and the HarvestCue cloud data associated with that account. The app also removes HarvestCue data stored locally on the device completing the deletion. Information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, security logs, or service-provider systems where immediate deletion is not technically possible, and will be removed or de-identified according to applicable retention schedules.
Deleting your HarvestCue account does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription separately through Apple.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can:
- Update your public profile within HarvestCue;
- Manage notification permission in your device settings;
- Manage or cancel your subscription through Apple;
- Delete your HarvestCue account and associated data from within the app; and
- Contact us about another privacy request using the details below.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect your information. These include authenticated access, database security rules, encrypted network connections, platform security controls, and access restrictions. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
International processing
HarvestCue’s service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children’s privacy
HarvestCue is a general-audience app and has an App Store age rating of 4+. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as required.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to HarvestCue, our practices, or applicable law. We will update the effective date when we do. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required.
